My birth and surroundings were very simi1ar to Abraham Lincoln's. The great difference was Linc01n was endowed with a lot of brains and thinking power whi1e 1 was not. My father's name was 8eth Sylvester Worstell. My mother's name was E1izabeth Bou1ware Worste11. 1 had two 01der brother's, Moses Frank1in, who was born Sept. 1, 1880, and A1bert Issac, who was born June 26, 1883. ff.y sister Sophronia Jane was born Ju1y 3, 1889, and Mary Alice was born in 1893. Char1es Wi11iam, the youngest farnily member was born Feb. 10, 1898. Albert and 1 were the on1y two that were born in the same place, and there were three pLaces where we 1ived that there were no b1rths. We moved from the litt1e Log cabin where 1 was born when 1 was three years 01d, but I remember going back there and seeing the house one time after that. My Mother told about my having the whooping cough when I was three weeks old--how my face would turn b1ue and she thought I wou1d not 1ive.
